Maybe have better luck with match.com!

One swan a swimming on the river Coquet, not a buddy in sight for the poor thing, plenty of ducks but not quite the company the swan was hoping for!

A little Information

Rothbury Tourist Information Centre closed it's doors to visitors in November last year and I was made redundant from my Information Assistant post. As a local business owner I know how important it is to value visitors and offer them a good positive experience whilst visiting Rothbury and Coquetdale. So Coccuveda is now going to fill that void, a few initial changes have been taking place this week already, leaflets and maps are being gathered, Coccuveda will be Local crafts and Information point!

Christmas!

Well if this photo was at Christmastime we would all be seduced by the romance of a white Christmas, we would all be glowing with mulled wine and mince pies. There is something not quite right with snow and hot cross buns and Easter eggs.

A little Imagination required

Rothbury daily photo had to feature our lovely new bridge. The bridge is now open to traffic and pedestrians and is looking very grand and proud as it carries us over the River Coquet. Not wanting to dwell on the horrible weather we are having of late but you can just make out Simonside in the distance with a cold white covering of snow, I was dodging the flurries today as I snapped this. Picture this scene though with  bright blue sky and a bit of warmth from spring sunshine, hang on to that thought as I am sure spring is just round the corner!!!! I am naturally optimistic.

Rothbury Daily Pic is making a comeback

After a wee bit of a rest I will attempt to revive Rothbury picture a day blog, with my brand new camera of course! You will have to forgive me if the first couple of images are not the most colourful, but hey the weather is not exactly brilliant. I am sure that you will still witness the beauty of our lovely Northumberland village though.

What, No Snow!!!!!
